I start work next week so I'll have cash flow then.Currently I still have $2900 saved.I have planned to spend 500 on racing seat and the 2 gauges I'll need and MBC to finish my IAP kit.Total is going to be about 600-650..So that leaves me with $2300..I have $440 loaned out to my sister and my friend.I'll be getting half from both of them in 2 weeks then all of it by end of July.I should be making at least 400/week at work. I have two options that are killing me. My convertible needs to be restored and I planned to SC but engine probably won't hold.So I'll need new engine. My kit for that is going to be around $1600 then going to cost close to 1k for top and 400 for paint job.f I need new engine there's another 1k.Then I have my project hatch waiting for VG swap.I can get the swap for approx $2500.Then I have to make it fit.Would just keep it stock and buy a blown VG motor and build it and have it ready to swap in this fall.So poll options are...........SC the vert and restore it.Put SC on hold and do the VG swapIf I start with the vert I'm focusing all my attention on it and should be showworthy by nopi. It would be a SC vert with new top racing seat redone interior and my keg system But the VG I could do some light mods and blow my KAT out of the water...I have until probably the 10th to decide. So I'll have some more money to play with. Also I may be able to get a SC very cheap and still do the vert and VG swap.

if you want a project have one project and focus on that with a reliable daily driver. it becomes much more stressful emotionally and financially to have two projects, epecially if one is a daily drive.

although i think you have 3 cars, i would just do one very well without having to be cheap on it and worring about something else

Think I decided I'm going to buy the parts for SC kit. Then order my VG swap.Regardless the vert will be SC pretty soon. But whether or not I continue to restore vert or go onto my vg is the question.

But I think it through. It was either waste my money on gaming, parties, and going out.Or spend my money on my car which still holds $$$ value. While as the liquor left me with a rememberable hangover, gaming is outdated after a few weeks, and the food is well......

Heheh, I don't steal anything. I bargain and barter.

Like when I need wood for a project I go to lowees or home depot and look for what is called "cull" wood. It usually consists of returned and "unfit" wood products. I can usually get what I want/need for $0.10 on the $1

Yea but you can't really do that on engine parts....Hey this transmission doesn't have 3rd gear.... I'll just shift form 2nd to 4th....Doesn't quite work.

Sure it does. Who needs 3rd gear anyways

I do get discounted parts for working on the car(s) too. Usually they're rather common parts that the dealer charges an outrageous amount for.

Ehh I wish I had 3 projects! Once I get my next grade increase (NOV) I'm going hunting for a Blowen up S13 project car. Cant decide if I want the RB26 in my S14 or an S13.

Its good to have a little in the bank... Just in case. But I have a friend with 30k in his savings... Neat bank statements. But utterly useless if not spent. 30k is worth 0 if never used.

Anyways if I die tomorrow at least I will know I spent every penny on somthing I enjoy.

Wha he said PMQ.........reason why I'm doing it. You should start looking now for one.If your looking for just a shell they can be had for about $500 or cheaper.Someone on here got a perfectly running S13 for $300....

NO, what he said will cause you to spend all of your money on something worthless(in monetary terms, not sentimental).

Incorrect, $30k becomes worth ~$31k, then $33k, then $35k, then $37k, then $40k, etc...

Money in the bank makes you money! THat's the whole point of a bank.

I absolutely despise the way that credit card and check cards have given you direct access to your bank account. It completely defeats the purpose of a bank.

Nah, that **** is itching. Seriously man, either leave your money in the bank or invest it in something that will INCREASE in value. You should/WILL find that you have a LOT more money to spend on your car.

WHy though?

WHy not start with a "high" HP car as your baseline? I never quite understood the point of taking a low HP car and trying to make it fast. WHy not take a fast car and make it faster?

I'm not trying to make the vetr fast....Dad wouldn't let me get camaro/bike so I got the fast RWD 4cylinder. I'm going to be building the VG to keep it nissan.
