In my town, everyone with nice cars show them off at a Mcdonald's parking lot at night. Just a bunch of enthusiasts who talk cars and race them down the highway the Mcdonald's is located on. Yesterday, a kid my age (17-19) is there with a convertible 04 Z. I come up to him to start conversation and tell him its a gorgeous car. He says, "Yea I know" and I tell him I just put down a down payment on one of my own (for all of you who know my story, I just put down a down payment on a Z I won off ebay that I will pick up around the 5th). He goes, "what year" and i tell him its an 05. He quickly remarks that I should, "don't buy it, big mistake, dont buy it". I could already tell this kid looked like a c***, but now he proves that he acts like one. I tell him I just put down the down payment, and I am clearly going through with buying this car. I ask him why I shouldn't buy it, and he tells me that only 03 and 04's are the best, and I will have tooo many problems with my 05. I told him my mechanic inspected it and it runs very clean. He said the frame is probably already effed up and I will need a new clutch asap. I ignored him because I didn't want to start stuff with my girl near by, and he leaves soon after. The friend he came with (driving an 08 evo) says, "listen he has no idea what hes talking about. He burned his clutch doing 60 in 3rd gear and he claims its not his fault." I loved the laugh I had when i heard that. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here for not being stuck up, and instead resourceful and helpful. For some one you never met to tell you that you made a big mistake because they think they are better is beyond me. Thanks guys for being rational

Yeah you did the right thing. I probably would have open hand slapped the shiit out of him. He might have cried though. Anyway I have been in a couple of other forums and yes I like the forum here better also. Thanks to all.

Yea z's are very sexy i get looks everywhere i go i left mcdonald's over by me there were 12 year olds i knew and i stopped to talk and they were like omg i got a boner. I just said it tends to do that to people. They were like what is it. I was like how do they not know what it is.

There was a thread a while back asking do people drive differently when u drive a Z. Yes they do every one goes 5 under the speed limit. I just drop back and chill like its nothin.

LOL c'mon..... lay the hurt on that guy in front of McDonalds when you get the car. Roadsters are heavier and if he leaves the top down he has crappy aerodynamics = More win for you!

I would have made him feel the strenght of my pimp hand and ***ched slapped that fool. j/k

a Z is a Z.

I actually appreciate the fact that I had a Z31 more now that I have a Z33. Wish we did not sell it. It was an 88 with 86K it was white with red interior

Under like 100 mph it wont matter if the top is up or down. Infact, Lambo says on their roadsters not to use the top up if you're going over 100, and those go 200.....lol

yeah i guess your right.... from a dig it wouldn't really matter. offer him a 40 or 60mph roll to 120 or 140 or top out or w/e.... then you'll really show him! Most of the common races around here, from a roll, are from 40 or 60 to 140...

I don't recommend street racing, take his smart ace to the track.
