I was going to buy this turbo tonight from teamblindside.com for $329 and i was wondering if this turbo will work with my stock setup? Do i need any new turbo lines? new elbow? and it says it requires an external wastegate....... Do i allready have one of those or do i gotta get one?

Sorry I'm a newb but this is my first turbo car and i really want to get it running so please no "burning" me. just help if you can!

thanx

i think we need to know more about what your motor is setup for now.im guessing you have a T25 that you are replacing, the stock turbo. if so, you are going to have to make some changes if that is a T28 turbo. some more info on that turbo would be helpful.

but to be honest, i wouldn't trust a turbo that costs under 400 bucks new. the build quality could be bad and wont last very long.

well since its a T 3/4 your going to have to get.... new lines, new exhaust manifold, external wastegate, new turbo elbow, new intake pipe, new hotpipe probably, and so on.

try to find something thats a T2 flange and its going to be less of a hassle if you are on a budget. like a s15 turbo would request less modifying.

Bigger injectors, maf upgrade, tune.

Why'd you put new intake pipe in there? Just trying to scare him more into not doing this set up? lol Intake pipe is the easiest thing to replace on the whole car!

But seriously OP. If you're still learning about this car (which it's obvious you are). You should wait before you upgrade your turbo, specially to that one.
