I don't think anything will really happen, it will just look stupid probably. You could put them on straight if you wanted to I guess. They are supposed to Reduce Overall Aerodynamic Drag, Reduce Rear-end Air Flow Separation, Reduce Turbulent Air Flow, Allows For Faster Clean Air at Rear End ( according to their website ). So for that to happen they need to be at the angles they provide.
The back of the box is a diagram with the degrees on the back of it and it tells you which ones need to be at which angle. If you need anything else just let me know.
