So I have always wanted to wrap my car in Matte Black vinyl. I'v always been iffy about it cause I wasn't sure how it would look. I'v finally givin in and I am placing my order for some tomorrow.

Initially I wanted it to look like this:

But now I think I am going to go with the Matte White look, but I will have the hood, roof, and tunk matte black.

I am ordering some small "samples" to put them on and see how they hold up and all that good stuff.

What do you think?

the guys that did my tint had a roll of the carbon fiber. I thought about wrapping my hood, hatch, and roof. I don't know about white with flat black. What about leaving the sides black and doing the roof, hood, and hatch in another color?

Iv thought of other colors and thought of just matte black. But I can't make up my mind. I deff don't want to go the CF route because I would feel dumb for having fake CF you know? Although, it would probably looks really good. Matte black body and CF HOOD, trunk and roof.. What are the thoughts on that?

Carlos.. I have a black sedan too. It'll look sexy. Trust me!

KVG - could your friend hook me up with a good deal? :) lol

I'm ordering enough to cover my hood for right now just to see how it will hold up and all that good stuff. Says it takes about 5-7 days to ship.

I'm thinking about just doing the hood, roof, and trunk lid in matte black and leaving the rest of it gloss black. I'll give it a nice wax.

Be extra careful when you put them on. I recommend putting them on all straight if you really want to do it. Or just pay attention to the angling diagram thing and making sure they're pointing the right way.

I don't think anything will really happen, it will just look stupid probably. You could put them on straight if you wanted to I guess. They are supposed to Reduce Overall Aerodynamic Drag, Reduce Rear-end Air Flow Separation, Reduce Turbulent Air Flow, Allows For Faster Clean Air at Rear End ( according to their website ). So for that to happen they need to be at the angles they provide.

The back of the box is a diagram with the degrees on the back of it and it tells you which ones need to be at which angle. If you need anything else just let me know.

I haven't noticed anything, but than again I didn't plan on it. I think they look cool though..

There's a thread about them and I posted some pictures of me putting them on at the wrong angle. Can barely notice it really. Only one person has noticed it and he drives an evo so whatever. Tbh you will never ever notice a difference, but I agree they do look cool.

I'm hoping that it isn't too hard to apply the vinyl, but it comes with a kit to scrape on top of the vinyl and apparently its not supposed to bubble but we will see.

It's basically just a giant sticker. Here is a video, hope it helps. I also ordered it from StickerCity.com (who made the video) so the vinyl is the exact same as the one I will get.

Oh, and I got shipping confirmation that it will arrive Friday! I'll post pictures when it arrives and will have it all done Saturday! Woop woop!

Yeah, I ended up getting some Matte Black vinyl for the hood, but I also ordered some Di-Noc CarbonFiber for my interior pieces as well. They both looks great!

I have finished the wrap and I am actually really happy with the results I got. I uploaded a couple of pictures to my Facebook. :D

Check them out! Let me know what you guys think.

It was a pain in the a%# to get on correctly and to get smooth. But it was about $120 for everything I needed.

I saw a Subaru this weekend that was black with flat hood, roof, and trunk. It was hard to recognize but looked good.
