weird stuff. newley assembled motor....i have done a full timing twice just to be sure...and when i hit the gas the motor studders. if i barley lay into the gas i can the car to start reving up....only now i can build about 10 pounds of boost sitting still. The rpms don't really go up that high, but the turbo boosts like crazy. If i floor it, it'll die. I can drive it, and if i give it a little gas i build crazy boost...and the car doesn't really go anywhere. Once i get past about 3 thousand rpms it starts acting a little more normal...but still boosts like crazy

there is nothing stuck in the downpipe, i checked.

the turbo is a GT25R.

Stock ecu, stock injectors.

freaking me out...i have no idea how this can even be possible. it idles perfect.

Try cleaning out your throttle body or seeing if it is cloged. and check your IC piping to see if any crap got down there. And if you can take off your core and check the rows and endtanks to see if there is stuff in there. Because it sounds like you have a IC clog.

It was cam timing. I reset the timing today for the third time and the problem went away. Now i just make no power. And my alternator is not charging my battery.

When i accelerate the car just doesn't have any power. I build boost normally, just really slow. If i floor it from a dead stop it just slowly climbs to a higher rpm, and if i shift at 7k the car jerks cause there is now power in the next gear.

I'm replacing the alternator tomorrow....maybe not enough spark or not enough fuel...who knows.

sounds alot like a boost leak. check all of your couplers and piping. i recently had a coupler go bad on me and i'm still waiting to get my replacement

I am not going to say that is normal but another member here not too long ago ran a GT2540R on the stock fuel system and it was super laggy. I think his sn is 240sxer or something like that. Might hit him up.

i think it might still be timing as well... I know cam timing is on because i did it to FSM spec, then rotated the crank about a billion times and had the silver links line back up (more like 20 times). So now it could just be the CAS and ignition timing. It feels like the the car is not advancing timing at lower rpms and by the time i get to about 4 or 5k it just fixes itself.

I'm gonna find an alternator to throw in there and get a new wiring harness next week. The person that originally did this swap was supposidly very proffesional, but i'm not happy with the harness at all.

what alternator from the US cross references?
