This is my new car. My old s13 was great to me, took lots of abuse nicely but was pretty tired after the season. I decided to sell it and buy a s***ty winter beater and picked this thing up.

Bought the car after about 3 seconds of looking it over. No frame rust, no rocker rust, no hatch rust, and no sunroof. perfect. oh, except for a few s***ty dents. But that was reflected in the price.

I wanted a cleaner car than my last one. Frame repair sucks and so does fixing rust. Getting dents fixed is a lot easier.

Unfortunately I didn't have anywhere to work on it all winter so it sat at a friends house waiting for me. Come spring time I finally got to play with it.

when I brought it home

cheap cars have dents. and non-running ka's.

oh and broken springs!

I ended up putting in an alternator, removing a s***ty best buy alarm, putting on a door that wasn't totally dented and a new front fender. Got the car driving, remembered how much I hate automatic s13's.

DD'd the car for a few weeks hating it more and more. front struts were blown, rear toe was way out of whack from previous owner "drifting" into a curb.. all sorts of little problems.

Bought some rear toe links to fix the alignment, then ordered some low from the internet.

Don't mind my "bremo" brakes. Previous owner was a confused person.

low. ish.

Installed rear 5 bolt hubs and some s14 SE wheels for now

Then I got really tired of driving an Auto. Pieced together a 5 speed swap and did some work on a weekend.

Then I bought some wheels, got my front 5 lug together and finished rebuilding my z32 front brakes.

One saturday of hard work

Finally the car is coming together. Its fun to drive, looks pretty rad, and I don't hate it. I need a diff. Badly. I'm on the fence between a a s***ty VLSD or going full-c*** welded. I have a chance to get a kaaz 2 way right now... but its gonna cost a good penny.

Wheels are cheap. We all know A-tech/MB's are. Fitment is good enough for the summer and they'll make good drift spares when I get some nice wheels. No idea what I want yet, but I'm keeping an eye out for some AVS Model 5's in good size/offset. OEM Type x aero is on the want list but I don't know when that will happen.

In the mean time I'm just going to drive the car and have fun with it.

Here are the most recent pictures of the car.

Very nice job. Obviously this isn't your first 240. Very clean.

And you know what every noob to the 240 scene should take note. You did not put a body kit, loud muffler or spoiler on the car and yet it looks great

Almost makes me wish I hadn't bought an s14... almost

Try looking into a shimmed VLSD.

Other than that looks ait, as long as you dont rice it out.

Dents were from the previous owner. Kid was a s***bag that didn't know what he was doing. transmission took a few seconds to engage in drive and was overall beat - he liked doing neutral drops to impress his friends.

The seat has an unknown origin. I'm thinking its very similar to the ones that used to come in DSMs or old vw's. Its an oem Recaro.

Needs paint and bodywork but I'm holding off on that until the car goes away for winter. No sense pulling it off the road right now.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm really holding off on an exhaust becuase of the limited ground clearance and the fact that right now this car is 100% canadian street legal. driving around with peace of mind is nice.

Well I guess I'll update this where I left off.

One of my rear wheel bearings was on the way out and I wanted to hit a track day the next week. Ordered the bearing and found a spare open diff and had it welded. Installed both on a wednesday night and drove 3 hours to the track to camp out.

Got up early, had a lot of trouble getting used to the welded diff and the fact that this was my first time driving the car.

about half an hour into the morning I biffed it into the wall trying to drift a corner I didn't need to. :' (

I could have fixed the car but I decided I wanted to take a break from nissans for a bit.

R.I.P.

After this I went on to buy an IS300

Car was great, drove awesome but it was Automatic and apparently impossible to swap to 5 speed (2001)

DD'd this car for a few months, slid it in the snow a bit but got tired of driving a car that wasn't really me and that I couldn't have as much fun in.

Picked up a winter beater for a steal. 1997 Legacy AWD sedan - Automatic. I've got a problem buying automatic cars.

and then I got rid of the lexus and bought a mildly built s13.

only teaser shot, haven't had time to get more good daylights yet.

haha, yeah I miss the blue car a lot but I'm pretty excited about the new one.

some of the pictures of the blue car were shot with an Olympus E-510 but I switched to Nikon and now shoot with a D90. The one of the crash tagged "Dan Wienbrand" wasn't taken by me and I didn't see what he was shooting with but it was a Canon.
