WooHoo!! Congrats on getting a G35!! Do you like it better than your 98 Q?? Overall, what do you like better/worse...
I like them both, for different reasons. The Q rides slightly smoother, but the G is faster (a lot faster) and handles better. I like the exterior styling of both. The interior of the Q is much richer than the titanium tricked out interior of the G. The G fits in my garage much easier. The color of the G is better, IMHO. Then again, the Q's color was pretty slick (expresso).
In terms of picking one or the other, it's hard to say. I like them both. I really liked my Q and almost hated to part with it. She was getting a little long in the tooth, though, and would have needed some serious work soon.
Considering that brakes are included free of charge for the first 36,000 miles, and the Q was more expensive to maintain, overall I'd have to pick the G. By a hair.
auto or manual transmission? Please say you got the manual...congrats on the G rocket.
yea foreal i hope its stick but anyways good luck with it i love that car
Auto. I am a road warrior. As much as I like to row my own gears, I can't juggle a cell phone, city map of Phoenix and a manny shifter all at once. Too much hassle.
Don - I saw your Q (WARP 7) one day westbound on T-Bird crossing 35th avenue...
Glad you're happy with the new ride. Wish I had known you were looking, I just did a brief (4 months) stint at Infiniti of Scottsdale.... You did REAL well on the price (and the trade!)
You didn't say if I was driving nicely or like a maniac.

So are you no longer with the Supreme Court? What did you do there? Yeah, I was obnoxious with Midway Infiniti. I'd bet they were glad to be rid of me. This was the third and final deal they offered me, which ended up being lower than the best price I can get on
http://www.carsdirect.com $32k versus 33k there) and $1k more for my beautiful but heavily ridden Q). $4k off sticker for a car that is not really being discounted isn't so bad, I guess.
I did drive an I35 but the FWD created a lot of torque steer when you stomp on it. Being spoiled by RWD for the last six years, FWD just doesn't cut it anymore. Although the interior of the I35 was gorgeous, I think the exterior was rather mundane and the choices of colors were dismal. I decided $4k less wasn't worth it to me.
