My last post here in 2002 was to inform all of my totalling of my 240. It was a sad day!

However, my wife the :icesangel that she is bought me an 85 turbo for our anniversary! How about that!

So anyway, glad to be back! This is going to be somewhat of a project car for me so I plan on learning a lot from everyone again.
The transmission is an auto and it won't shift into overdrive. I have been told it could be as simple as the switch being out. If it is going to require a total rebuild, I'd rather drop a 5 speed into it. Any ideas on cost? I imagine it is a feasible thing to do.

The engine only has 140,000 miles on it. Not too bad. The t-tops leak a little, but none of the rubber is ripped. Besides vaseline, is there any other type of (re)conditioner for the rubbers? There is some surface rust around the wheel wells and a little where the rear license plate goes. I don't think I am inclined enough to tackle the wheel wells, but would like to try the other surface areas. Is there any experience out there with rust removal?
Ok enough for this post. I am REALLY glad to be back.
Thanks, Kurt
