Lots of new faces here. I've been on a hiatus for a bit. Let my beloved S13 go about 8 months back.....like an idiot.

Might be buying my little brother's S13 here shortly. Needs a bit of help because it's got a few problems but i'm hoping to get it running well enough to be a good turbo candidate. It is Auto and will likely be staying that way.

Basically I just wanted to say hey and I'll be on the boards again to help out where I can and hopefully catch up on a lot on all of the KA-T developments I've missed.

Whats goin on guys, I remember you!

Well, I was living in AL. My motor was crapping oil everywhere so I put in another motor. One night I was at the track and feeling stupid. They didnt have any race gas but I turned up the boost and crossed my fingers. Ran 111mph @ 13.5 (bad tires lol). Went for a 2nd pass and broke a ringland.

Swapped in another motor, de-turboed it and could not for the life of me get this thing running right. Compression was great, fuel was great, from what I could tell spark was great. I was about to move to SC and didnt want to bring a broken car with me. Worked on the car for WEEKS and I was just pulling my hair out at that point.

Found a guy who offered to trade me an EF hatch with a Z6 swap for the S13.

We traded and he found out.....it was a bad plug wire (NGK eat my ***!)

Long story short, I boosted the EF and it's been running awesome, but its FWD.so..yeah. Bought a house, got married yada yada.

So now I want my little bro's s13 so I can relive those days of yesteryear lol.

Most likely won't keep the s13 for too long. What I really want now is a turbo miata but I figure I can fix up his s13, boost it and sell it and make some profit off of it.

hehe. I'll probably just keep the stock motor in the miata (when i get one), those motors hold up amazing under boost.

are you talking about the 1.6l or the 1.8l? Cause from what I have read around the 1.8l isn't all that great for boost, but then again on these engines and the size of the car, a nice T28 with about 8psi will make that car fly heh.

Unless things have changed, from what I remember they are both great motors for boost but the 1.6 rear-end is weaksauce. I'd be shooting for ~250whp or so.
