Hey guys, been a long time since I have posted on NICO, but it feels great to be back. I love being a part of this community, lots of cool people on here sharing our passion for Infinitis. I previously owned 2 G50 Q45's, they were both sold due to losing my licence for a few years. I recently got my licence back and purchased a cherry clean 2003 Y34 M45 black/black with every option besides laser cruise and nav, even has the factory wing! The OE wing makes the car look complete IMO. My car came with the Titanium wheels instead of the awful chrome ones!! I was ecstatic about that. I'll try to get some pics up here soon. The car is filthy I just drove it 3000 miles across the country. That's right, I bought the car in Hollywood CA, and drove it all the way back to Pittsburgh, PA. With 144,xxx on the clock the car runs like a tank. No problems whatsoever all the way from CA. to PA. I only paid $5200 for the car and it is immaculate!!

I'm already brainstorming some mods for my car, but as we all know are few and far between. My front brakes are going to need replaced pretty soon, so I have already sourced a set a Akebono calipers/ rotors/ pads/ caliper brackets/ 240sx stainless lines. Can't wait to see how they look behind the stock wheels. The shocks need replaced pretty bad in the front, IS THERE ANY OTHER OPTION THAN PAYING $178 PER SHOCK FROM INFINITI????? I can't find aftermarket shocks anywhere. No local auto parts stores have a listing for them.

I also was thinking about picking up a set of 19" OEM IPL wheels. Does anyone have a pic of their M on a set of these wheels??

I like these a lot but I would get them powdercoated in gun metal first:

Welcome back to the club! Infiniti's have a way of encouraging enthusiast to get their licenses revoked. Great price BTW.

Welcome back to NICO!

Looks like you had a similar experience to mine in terms of Infiniti models. :) I had two Q45's in the past (first was a 1991 and second was a 1995), and now drive a 2003 M45.

You are correct, there aren't any after-market shocks available for the Y34 unfortunately! :( I just got my shocks delivered (from www.everythinginfiniti.com) some weeks ago and am now looking for a place to get them installed here in the Bay Area. The dealer was over $1k for the labor, and I should be able to do better than that, I would think!

Welcome!

I plan to do my front shocks this spring- did the rears last summer and was unable to find any aftermarket replacements, so think you're stuck.

Please post pics when you get the Akebonos on, and let us know if you have any problems with installation. Which package did you buy?

Also, I have a similar '04 and just moved from Pgh (North Hills) to outside Cleveland :frown:. What end of town are you from?
