Money is good right now; I've gotten ahead of myself with bills. I'm into a house and doing great. I sold my KA-T back in June I believe....

I've missed it dearly since and I can't take it anymore. I bought an M3, which is an unbelieveable car but I have gotten it to a point where I shouldn't touch it anymore. Its fast enough for what it is and everything else on the car is perfect. Boosting it would just be a sin to the sound of the NA 6 that thing produces.

My previous KA-T was sold then totalted by the new owner. Gr. As of right now, I'm starting off with about $5k to work with. I figure this will be enough for a shell, rebuild KA and some decent boost. This is the 2nd time around so I know things will be better this time. Plus, my daily is an M3. When and if this one is down its definitely not a problem driving the "beater". hahhaa.

So, anyone have any good leads on a shell? I've been out of this for almost a year. I've kept up with looking at the forums on a daily basis but not the KA-T's much. I hang out with the local drifters though to keep my sickness fulfilled. Its good to be back and time to have a lot of fun.

sweet man, welcome back!

uhmm well were you thinking about building a S13 or S14? I know the S13 might look a little funny next to your fancy schmancy M3 ( ), but I feel the S13 is just a sportier looking car... not to mention it would be much cheaper for a shell (or even with a running KA).

Ive got some leads on shells up here in CT but thats a little ways from you... You'll prob have better luck finding non-rusty ones down there anyways.

Keep us posted mang!

Thanks for all the comments guys... And yes, I'm sure I will end up spending another bajillion dollars. But I am going to see what I can do with what I have for now.

And yes, I am leaning towards another S13 hatch. It would be cheaper and I miss my white hatch.

Alright, so the best couple of days I've been pricing stuff... I've been out of it awhile. I see this new boostdesigns website, JGY is still there, heavy throttle, JWT, ETC. Has anyone pieced together a kit lately? This is what I've came up with so far...

Gaskets 100Oil Fittings 100Intercooler 264.90Manifold/downpipe 550Turbo 700Piping 100Wastegate 160Blowoff Valve 200Injectors, Fuel Rail, regulator 550ECU Tune 500Gauges 150Fuel Pump 100Z32 MAF 150?

Thats $3600 right there plus shipping on some items... Eeek.... This was assuming another JWT ecu tune or enthalpy... 50lb program will be enough this time I believe since I'm not in a position to build the KA up. Am I over estimating on some of these, what else am I missing? Thanks guys.

The BoostDesigns kit with a JWT 72lb program is what I'd go with. PJ, the owner of BD, is a fellow 240 guy and very knowledgeable and his customer service is top notch so far. Definitly worth the look if you ask me. Plus the price is way good.

I'm just wondering if the 72lb is overkill or not... If I am not building up the block, 72lb isn't really needed. 50lb msd or 52lb rc would be sufficient enough for 300-350 rwhp, no?

I don't even know what I want to do with this car yet.... And pics/specs of the M. These are older, don't have my new CF lip and hood in it except the last pic.

Thanks

AA's turbo kit is like 8 grand or something rediculous.. the cheapest one I found was ~$6000. A supercharger kit can be had for 4-5k+.

Welcome back. ****ty to hear that the kid who bought your S13 totalled it. But the M3 looks very very nice. I'm sure your new 240 will easily be up there with the best of 'em.
