Ok apparently i'm a total moron. Having never worked on an automatic i went to change my girlfriends oil in the 2000 maxima and i am pretty sure i drained the transmission fluid instead(the pan on the drivers side) i need to refill but what oil do i use for the transmission?

Ideally you'd want to use Nissan Matic D (ATF fluid), but you could get away with Dextron III.
