I've gotta couple of things in the works. An 73 240Z (needs total resto), a 76 280Z (needs TLC), an 86 Notch SX (daily driver), an 88 300ZX (needs headgasket), an 86 D21 4x, and an 02 Frontier 4x. My prioritys are a lil screwed up right now, trying to figure out which one to start on and commit to finishing. I do know, I'll be able to free up more time after I sell my Notch SX. Its too big of a headache, parts are damn hard to find. Especially considering the aftermarket is full of new parts for Z's. My S12 buddys are cool as chit, but its time I moved on. But I will be here I'm sure for long time.

Welcome aboard!

Make sure to drop the SX in the Classifieds here, it should sell fast.

Gotta like anyone who owns a fleet of Datto's / Nissans.

nice fleet, I am jealous, I'd get the headgasket knocked out as it's only a days work and then you can better evaluate the s30's, tough to say where to go frm there guess that depends on your definition of "needs TLC" and "needs total resto" also depends on your funds ,space and abulities

welcome to nico and keep up updated on which ever project you decide to tackle first

Thanks fer the reception fellers! Don't get me wrong, I love my lil SX. But I've had to drive to Jersey to get a turbo hood, drove almost 4 hours to Danville Va., to pickup an engine. And took big chances on buying stuff from peeps all the way over on the left coast. Never had any problems with any of them, except for one. I paid $220 for an turbo skirtkit for my Notch, I got everything but the 1 piece for the front fenderwell that ties into the front spoiler. This all took place back in the middle of May, and all I've heard from him since is lies and excuses. I finally told him to keep it, couldn't stand to hear another lie. Anyways, I agree that fixing the 300ZX should come first. It'll be nice to blast down the Interstate with the t-tops off. And my 280Z is having some sort of electrical problem. I have 12 volts at the switch, but it won't turn over (the engine) til I jump out the solenoid. Even then, I don't believe I'm getting fire to plugs. I need to spend more time in my shop manual. I bought the 240Z without looking it over alot. The owner told me it ran til he parked it because of too much rust. The only rust I saw was under the trunklid, and rocker panels. Didn't see much on framerails, I would have looked more, but the snake that was camping out inside sort of curbed my enthusiasm to look any further. Well, I better git. See what happens when I get 20 minutes to spare when I get home? Sorry. (Sorry forgot to answer yer question winez31, I'm thinking at starting around $800 and see what happens)

sounds like the ignition switch or the ignition relay on the 280, getting the 240 running should be a snap, make sure it's got fluids, and that the carb pistons move freely, hit it with a bit of starting fluid with the listons held open and give her a crank chances are it'll fire up unless its got a serious problem, not much in the way of electronics to cause problems on the 240, gotta love their simplicity
