I'm a newbie to this forum and I have two ?'s

First, is it possible to get struts and shocks for my '94 j30 anywhere other than the dealer? If not does anyone have any 4 sale?

Second, I just got my j30 and sometimes when I drive at night my headlights turn off especially when I hit a bump. I figure it's a short but I've gone over the wires and can't find it. Has anyone had similar probs?

For the headlights I would say it's the relay. Go to http://www.fuzzycats.com and you will find just about everything! The headlights seem to be a common problem with the J30.

As for struts, don't know. Sure someone will help.

The headlight relay is being regularly offered on eBay for a starting bid of $39. I'm not sure if Scottsdale can beat that. As for the struts, all I've run across so far is rumor of substitutions available from other Nissans. That would be for the cartridges (shocks) only. I have yet to see these rumors confirmed as either true or false. Even with Nismo discounts, the struts are stupidly expensive.

All suspension components are Nissan OEM for the J, there is no aftermarket.

Here are the instructions to replace the headlight relay. Although it can be done by going from the wheel well (I did it that way), this process is probably easier.
