To NICO anyway. I'm the owner of NWMAXIMA.COM. I'm very well versed in the realm of Nissans Maximas and Infiniti I30s. I've done swaps, FI installs, suspension work, the works.

However, I just got a 2002 Q45 Sport and I'm looking for suggestions on mods. I'm not looking for FI or anything crazy like that (already have a 70 shot of N2O going in... )

I might lower it....I will get rims. What are my choices on body kits? CAI? Exhaust? Y-Pipe? Headers? FSTB? ASBs? I've looked all over the place for toys but I can't seem to find any.

Anything would be helpfull...

Welcome to NICO. We don't ahve a strong F50 contingent, but there are a few on here.

Do a search for posts by Jason B, he's are most experienced F50 owner, that should turn up some good info. I know he's posted a few body kit/grill threads. Make sure you try both recent and archived threads.

'02 Sport!! Nice! Definitely lower that bad-boy and get some nice wheels for it. For body kits, look at what's available in Japan, there are a few sources for importing.

Headers? Not sure. CAI? The stock intake is good to begin with. Y-pipe? Any good exhaust shop.FSTB? It doesn't come stock with one? haha, Y33 comes with front AND rear stock ASB? What's that?

I had a chance to drive a Super Charged F50 Q and it was quite a beast. As it is, 340 hp aint bad!

ASB = Anti-Sway Bar (it is an old-timer's term)

by far the easiest mod would be to add a 300ZX 3.69 rear differential... Stock diff is 3.1..... Would make for neck snapping acceleration...

eibach makes some springs... You can bolt on Z32 brakes....

The Q has a quasi FSTB... Dont know of any otherones, but you could always make one.

Wes, he has an '02. Stock '02 Q45 diff is 2.764. I can't really imagine putting a 3.692 in there. The acceleration literally would really break my neck. Awesome!

Will it (diff) even fit the '02?

The F50 has a quasi FSTB? Cause the 97-01 has a serious FSTB.

If (and this is a big "if") the diff in the 02 Q45 is similar to the 03 M45, then it can be done. It was recently done by an M45 owner: zerothread?id=146904

And, for reference, the 2003 M45 has a real FSTB too.

02 Q has 3.1.....

The Q/G/M/FX all use the same rear differential with different companion flanges.

Thanks for the input guys. So, I think this is what I have planned....in order:

1) Lower2)Wheels (20"x9" 3" dish VIP-style)3)Custome CAI (Cold-Air Intake...fender-fed)4)3" exhaust from the headers back with striaght pipe....which means no cat.5) APEXi S-AFC6)NOS nitrus 70-hp shot.

Then maybe in a couple of years:1) Body kit2) Mod the valve body in the transmission.3) Air suspension4) 300Z rear diff5) FI - either Eaton twin-screw roots blower or twin t3/04 turbo.

That Eaton blower with a 2.89" pulley and a lot of fuel management will but me at around 560hp at the crank.....-20% for auto drive-train loss.....that'll be roughly 448hp at the rear wheels. Then add the valve body mod and the rear-diff and this thing will eat Porches, Vettes and smaller Ferraris alive.

Maybe I'm insane for wanting to take it this far.....

Now that I have a game plan....it's time to put wallet to plan.
