Ok so I've been KA-T for almost a year now, and i'm REALLY TIRED of this cool LCD screen that's supposed to be making more boost just sitting here.

I setup my Profec E-01 for manual control. 25% Boost25 Gain3.0 Start Boost

It worked. I was happy.

I drove the car later the next day, and the wastegates starting to open at about 2.0 psi again (like with the just the stock spring).

I setup my Profec E-01 for automatic control.6.0 PSI25 Gain3.0 Start Boost

I floored it twice, and it "learned" and boosted all the way home from Long Beach back up north.

Drove the car the next day and nothing....Can somebody tell me why i'm retarded?

I’m confused, What is the max psi you are getting? How do you know that?

What psi do you want?

I'm going to go out on a limb here. a long one.what you are saying is you set it once, it worked great, turned off the car, and it didn't keep your settings when you drove again. Same thing happened second time even though you set it a different way.Well, have you checked that you wired a continuous "memory" lead off a continuous source and not an ignition switched one?sounds to me like it could potentially be just that, a pretty easy fix.

It keeps the settings in the memory, however, it does not hold the wastegate like it used to...

I can tell because I have a boost gauge built into the E-01.

I'm pretty sure the tial spring is set to 4 psi because that's what I get (and do I have to PUSH to get it there).

I set the boost controller to run 6 psi. When it DOES work it clamps the wastegate tight and I hit max boost A LOT faster (and I get to hear my BOV more;) )...

no clue then. check all your vaccuum lines and wiring. Does the unit have any self diagnostic stuff?I'm not familiar with the electronic stuff. might just want to call up tech support.

Id check 2 things. One---the power wire (remote wire) to the e manage thingy to see if its resetting the memory everytime you power the car off.Also--if there is any problem with the solenoid in the engine bay controlling the boost.--it may be a aggrevating process of elimination, but do you know someone who could let you use a boost controller to see if it may be the emanage itself acting funky--shooo--go buy one of those little 20 dollar ball and spring types off of ebay.

It's werid because the #'s in the boost controller stay the same, but it just won't clamp the wastegate.

It's really frustrating to be faster one day and slower 10 minutes later...

I agree with andrave. Check all the wiring again. It usually is always wiring. Make sure that you have good connections and a good ground. It's funny what a bad ground can do to electronics. Bad connections can do the exact same thing. Hope that works out and you get rolling.
