Well i finally got my parts in and put the kaaz 2.0 way lsd in this last Thursday. Breaking it in is i pain in the pita but got it done try finding a parking lot to break it in; in the morning on a Friday when most of the parking lots are covered in snow and ice( Awe ) .Still have the final leg chaniging the fluid i broke it in with 80/90 gl5 super tech and will be using the kaaz 80/90 gl5 in the diff since its broke in . But they have a new one http://www.kaazusa.com/superq

Wish i would have known about this one . But check it out if you have future plans of changing your diff . i am very pleased so far with my diff .

Yes an open one wheel wander . Even during breaking i could feel it grabbing and i could easily kick it out if i wanted but didn't seeing i was breaking it in . Grabs good in the snow also . And i had it pulled and put back in ,in about 7 hours .And anyone who checks this have you herd of checking the mesh ? i didn't know about it ad learned something very important when messing with your diff .

Did you do the "recommended" break in?
5. NO BREAK-IN PROCEDURESNo need to break in your unit after installation! Another key feature for those whom install and work from home. SuperQ units have special treated clutch plates which feature smooth hardened clutch plate surfaces which require no break-in procedures!

nvm

I just put a kaaz 2 way in my s14 a few weeks ago, the most amazing change. I had a VLSD, and can say after the swap the vlsd sucks bad. When I had my vlsd it basically felt like the car had no diff compared to the kaaz. My vlsd was also in good condition.

Yeah if you think that is a huge difference .Try putting a 2 way in an open diff ( oh baby a different car) Still have to go try it out since its been broke in . But i did get the fluid changed today (well like 20 minutes ago ) but put the kaaz fluid in it . So we will have to see .And we did the whole tihng in about 7 hours, in the snow even .

I think the noise the kaaz makes also adds to the experience.

Make sure you have access to a vise and air tools but as i stated before 7 hours in the snow and a cold garage . 14mm, 17 mm, 12mm , i think 15 mm but its easy man i had help seeing it was my first rear end job (got my cherry popped on it ) but make sure you put everything back the exact way it came out the shims and all , make sure you do a mesh test get some light coloered grease put it on the ring gear and rotate your diff and see where the grease goes wipe off excess and repeat process ,shine a light in there to see if grease is spread through out all the gear teeth evenly and you should be good we did this to mine because its a 1991 it should be checked . And i had to drop my rear sway bar
