Kinda tweaked off of the exhaust fumes from the burning of 2 stroke mixed fuel with about 25% methanol so I thought I would make a general post :)

For the last 2 days I have fixed our gas blower, 3 weed eaters (including my tweaked one) and still am pushing for the riding mower to work one day after I work everything out (been sitting for about a year!!)... All the wead eaters had severely rotted fuel lines, fouled plugs, and filthy carbs.

So in the midst of fixing all these small engines (my intent was to get the blower only going again), I ran across my slightly modded weed eater. Long story short I bored out the carb on it to be originally used in my spare 21cc or 22cc go-ped engine I have in pieces (brother toasted it on his ped) but gave up on it as lack of funds werent there. I put it back on the weed eater to find my carb tuning skills lacking and never got it running for more then a few seconds...

So um yeah I bored out the carb to be 1/2" straight through then pollished it and today I got it running very very nice and with a few more rpms :) muhahaha I had to richen thehigh jet three additional turns to finally get it running WOT un-choaked, and found the clutch was dead for the trimmer attachment, making it sound horrible and loosing som rpms... No biggie I slammed the whole fuel assembly onto another unit I ran out of hose to fix, and dubbed my parts engine.... Oh man it sounds so much smoothert and another 1/2 turn on the jet rich should get me the most of of that modified carb from the 31cc ...

Next step is taking off the headgasket to replace with rtv only upping the compression a bit. My fuel mix, while emitting eye burning caustic fumes should ignite nicely... Then following that I may make a new key to advance the timing a tad... And the next step is either dual stock carbs with a coustom mount, dual bored carbs, or fitting a walbro carb found on a 50cc STIHL chainsaw laying around... The duals would be cool, but that single 50cc one is nearly 2x the size, and is a very nice looking unit. I would just need to port the crankcase passageway and make a spacer to finish it off.

Oh to be a gear head and broke is a scary thing.... But oh so fun :) So anyone else out there with a monster stock CC engine weadeater?

In case anyone cares... I think I have got a sweet way to get some n20 in there, utillizing paintball parts and some whip-its :)

Well hopefully as that is the easiest way, but depending on if I stay this way, I may have something machined if need be... Low budget of course :)

Ill be trying this out on this 31cc engine then hopefully adapting it into an rc car if all goes well... My best friend, fellow lunatic, and master tech, came over to help me tune today and re-brought up the idea for us to both get some rc cars.... I may not be able contain the secret though, but seeing and RC car purge, would make his month!!

edit: Bah maine I didnt get to get the n20 idea out fast enough :) OH YEAH its comming :)

I thought of using the z32 t22/t25 but it may be to large for the mower still... If I could get a small cheap hairdryer anyway it would go on my spare 125cc shifter honda engine soon to be rebuilt and stuffed into a kart...

Bah Im calling it a night.... I ripped the head gasket off (like 1/16" thick !!!) and rtv'd a new one on after cleaning all the carbon in the chamber and on the piston, then lubing the internals with some 15w50 mobil one synth as the cleaner stripped the built up lube... I figuered running the mix I am some added lube couldnt hurt..

Any way I, go the turn it to check clearances and the mini crank or possibly rod is hitting the head....

Bah It'll have to wait till tomorrow for me to grind out the head so it will be smooth again... Then Ill have to check piston to plug clearance and possibly space the plug a mm so everything works out...

But I will have some sort of new carb on there tommorow, in cunjuntion with the new high compression...!!!

Damn I wish modding the 240 was this cheap simple and fast...

edit: another reason Im flipping is im waiting on a set of tires as mine are nearly gone.... This has kept me local away from the shop, and without enough money to do anything on my car.. No 240 modding or agressive driving (also havent been auto-x'ing in 2 months and may miss sundays as well) for a cpl of days, and I start to um modify other things :)

Oh yeah and the mower was modified (as fast on its slowest setting as it was on its fastest before modding), hence it being driven into the ground, hence it sitting for a year, and now needing a overhaul...

I have 4 31cc Weed eaters (2 100% 1 project and 1 parts), a 25cc 35cc and 50cc chainsaw (all need fixing), a 5hp briggs pressure washer to fix, a dead 5hp tecumseh kart motor, and the 125cc honda and 500cc 15.5hp (hehe um yeah) mower to resurect!!

There is a 1.8 liter mazda engine with a TINY turbo that I saw at a junkyard...if it hadnt been broken (some idiot broke the outlet off) I would have bought it and tried putting it on the mower :D
