I love Mozilla Firefox. Something about not having to deal with all the sh*t that comes with IE is refreshing.

Aside from using netscape for a VERY short stint, this is my first foray into using a browser (on PC) other than IE.

Anyone else out there using it?

I used it for a while. Got tired of it's problems interfacing with flash and some java applications, so I went back to reliable old IE.

Yeah it's pretty nice, but as Aries said, Java applets don't work all that well with it, and a couple of tables looked weird.

I did like some of the things about it though, like the ability to open a new tab in the same window.

Have it, love it. Although IE6 w/sp2 comes close.

I haven't had any java or flash problems as of yet, but I haven't been using it all that long either.

I haven't upgraded to SP2 yet for fear of a computer meltdown. I just now fixed an error that wouldn't allow me to get updates at windows update. Not that surprising...Microsoft couldn't help me with it at all, even when provided the error number and message. Newsgroups, however, prevailed.

Installed Flash 7 and the latest Runtime for Java... Mozilla rocks my world. I prefer Mozilla's faster tab switching and how it handles bookmarks.

I had more java problems with IE than mozilla. I had to actively search java stuff for IE, but mozilla automatically takes me to the places to install it.

I prefer mozilla if only for the tabs function.

Also, I enjoy not having thousands of pop ups that I constantly got no matter what I did with IE

I had Mozilla Firefox for a little bit, but found my self right back on IE after a few hours with it.

Any other good browsers out there that y'all recommend? Links?

IE 4 lyphe. The whole tabs thing sounds kinda cool but unnecessary to me. Say I don't exactly have a "legal" version of Windows and try to get this magical SP2 thingy...will Blake = fuxed?

I had trouble getting a modern browser installed on my old machine (devoted to playing DOS games). K6-233 w/48MB and Win95 OSR2. I installed Opera and its perfectly useful, with no popups!

I use Firefox. There are some nice things about it, but it's not that big of a difference to me from IE6 w the google toolbar.

I've used a few different versions of Firefox as well as Opera (and Netscape ages ago). Usually, I end up back with IE. I don't have a problem with Firefox, but then again, I don't really have problem with IE either.

For what it's worth, I've never had a Service Pack mess up windows or IE in any way.

I had a lot of Java issues and problems with message board software back when I used Opera. Firefox has been pretty touble-free so far.

I switched to Firefox because IE kept jamming up on me. Firefox can be troublesome with java applets, but its much faster and more stable in all other aspects.

Now that I am writing html for a web site, I am beginning to hate IE even more because it interprets the html code WRONG. Stupid IE, I forsake you!

IE is a nonstandard browser. I thought it was common knowledge already

See, I know this, but your average user does not. Why can't Microsoft have their browser conform to the damn HTML standards?! It makes no sense not to, it only makes it harder to write for their browser.

Oh well, Netscape was the same way for years. I don't know what it's like now as I haven't used it in forever and haven't really been active in webdesign for awhile now. Opera is pretty nice too, I used it for a long time, but I'm still gonna stick with Firefox for now.

I did have Firefox on my comp for a while. it was just too slow uploading stuff. Then again, my comp needs more memory. And i couldn't download the google pop-up blocker for it either.

The nice thing about the newest firefox is that it has a built in pop up blocker and a google search box built in.
