well there you have it. I need replacements, but i need to know if the dealer can supply them without changing the locks.

If i have to change them, where can i get them other than the dealer?

By the way, i dont have any copies of the original key.,

my car had a key number in my glove box. all i had to do was take the number to a locksmith and he got me 3 keys.

where and on what piece of paper was the "key number"?

a little sticker inside my glove box. it was a white sticker black letters.

Even if you can not find the code, locksmiths can make a key. It's much easier if you have the code though. My mom's purse got stolen with her only key once. A locksmith came out and manually made a key.

I guess i really dont want to actually take the lock out though, 'cause i'm LAZY. SO i will try all routes suggested, starting with this dealer thing and move to the hard stuff later.

dealer can't make a key for cars after they are like 10 years old.
