i dont believe you can on a car that old. sorry bro. i have seen locksmiths that would rekey your lock cyl to a particular key. or you could just replace them all. that sucks.

inside your glove box there is a key number on a sticker, also you could give them your VIN and they may be able to get you one (thats why its a good idea to put a small piece of paper over it, others could order a key too).

when i called the dealership here, t hey said they dont keep the numbers for cars over 10 years old though, may be different there

thanks i didnt know about the glove box

unfortunately i was on a delivery route so it could be anywhere along 9 stops. i'll try an retrace some of it tomorrow during the day.

otherwise i'll have to waste $100s on getting it refitted onsite. i called wherever i could. this blows if it werent so cold and dark id be searching for it now.

at least i have another car

well there wasnt any specified key info in the glovebox unless it was a small unidentified set of 5 digits in the corner. the good news is it wasnt locked. i'll have to see if i can take it apart and bring the ignition tumbler in so i dont pay travel time.

idiot

i covered over 120 miles on my route this is horrible

well i could easily remove the glove box. i wonder if a locksmith would be able to create a key using that. should be the same as the ignition.

acually no

i am currently using my "vallet key" because my origional is so worn out i can pull it out when its in the ign. but, the vallet key wont open either the trunk, or the glove box, so it would be able to start the car, but it would be better to have one made from another lock. if you dont need the key for the above though, go for it
