Presumably very light weight and very resistant to heat.

Here's where I found it. Maybe we could track the winner down, run the old "duct tape and crowbar" trick on him and get a CAD model of it to hand off to CP or something...

Are those some magnesium alloy or just coated with something dark? I personally never liked the idea of magnesium in an engine haha :P for obvious reasons but it seems more than stable in the alloys they use.

All I can say is NICE. After seeing those I can definitely justify spending 20k on that engine that Indy engine that was up for sale a little while ago, well plus it had that tastey twin pump dry sump system and nice ITB's + whatever craziness was done to the block and rods.

EDIT: the VRH35ADE has the same bore as the standard VH45's (93mm) and a shorter stroke of 64.39mm. So going to its redline of 10,700 is a piece of cake for it.

Especially when it is rebuilt after running about 10 hours!

A shop local to me has these engines as Infiniti offered him their remaining stock when they ended their IRL program.
