I see how you did that...pretty interesting. I was gonna ask to see other's people technique but you left me some flaws so, n/m. Good job though.

Its fairly simple to do, and I just notice the flaw on the right side of the picture of my car... how did I miss that! Oh well, too lazy to fix it... Practice makes perfect

also on the other's guy front of the car. Looks like you used the magic wand and still had cut some thing else other than the car, u know what i'm talking about? I had to compare corner to corner of the 2 pictures to find it, otherwise, I wouldn't have find out. Are you just messing with it or actually going to school for it? I finished 5 quarters already and like 8 more to go, but i got deployed so still have 8 more as a Graphic Designer (BA).

I've just been messing with various editing programs for awhile, teaching myself. This is how I do it:

1. copy the picture and make a new one2. use the erase tool and remove everything under the car by hand, so that it is transparent3. Copy the edited picture on top of the old one, allign it and check for errors4. fix any errors, merge it, and save

Basically, I copy everything above the bottom of the car's chasis over the old picture, then just select the detail in the picture.

Thats all

I use paintshop pro 7

For Rex's car, the guy standing in front made it abit tricky. I didn't use him in the seconc picture, and I left him in the original picture. When I copied the edited picture on top of the old one there he would remain the same height, but when I did that part of the first picture was showing. So I made his arm longer and covered it up :D You can see where I edited the arm if you look hard enough. Also, you can tell that he has a longer than normal arm :D

Try to use magic wand, it's faster than erasing everything. Also use the Clone tool to clone over the part where you want to smooth out. Basically, just ... It's too long to explain, but you are doing fine. Check out http://www.photoshopjunkie.com, under their tutorial, they will show you do some neat stuff with cars.

I'm not into covering the wheels with the wheel wells, also it may look like that in the front because I lowered it all the same height. I measure by the back tire

Also, alot of the cars are already kinda low, like Jezters

uhh...that looks extremely fake. Desat the hood..and lower opacity on the pattern. The edges arent very clean either. Lowering is okay..but there are still some noticeable flaws. Also..I suggest the pen tool for making selections or anything for that matter, it provides good clean curves. Well anyway..nice start..but keep practicing

I've been practicing with the pen tool, takes awhile to get used to...

As for the CF hood, that took about 2 minutes, I should probably just delete that one =P

I just need more practice, thanks (v)man
