So I need to replace the brakes on my car.. I have Z brakes all around..

I have hawk HPS on the car now, and I have been pretty pleased with them.. I think I got about 20k miles out of them if I recall, so its time for them to be done..

I daily drive my car, but I like to have a pad that is suitable for track use.. The hawk HPS would take quite a beating before they started to fade, and I was pretty happy with that.. I dont really care about dust, but I would rather have a pad that doesnt last long rather than ones that eat rotors.

If anyone has any other recommendations based on what I said... :)

Eh, I wasn't too impressed with your pads in Omaha. The pedal got pretty spongy after just 2 laps. I've always heard good things about EBC brake pads.

well at that point they had already had 18k miles on them, so they were kinda wore out anyway, not to mention stopping a 4000lb car is not the easiest task in the world...

I just put the Hawks on the Q; I also threw in slotted rotors, reman calipers (due to one stuck caliper), and stainless steel braided brake lines. Haven't had any issues, love the combo overall. We put these on just before going on vaca, so I already have 4K mi on them.

I rock Axxis Ultimates all around on my S13.
They bite really strong. I can't comment on fade because I have Z32 calipers in the front so the brakes are already pretty strong. I had Hawk HPS a few years ago, they're a little softer. ( I've gone from Axxis, to Hawk, back to Axxis again).
The Ultimates are dusty and noisy (intermittent, only when I get on them harder--which is not often. My wheels are black so that's no biggie for me either). The noise reminds me of being in a race car anyway.

If you like the Hawk HPS, you'll love the HP Plus. Little higher temp threshold than the HPS, and they squeak when you use them around town. But they sure are sweet when you get a little heat into them.

I ended up going with the HPS, they are quiet and work well year round (cold stops in the winter can be scary enough!)... Not to mention they dont eat rotors like HP+ and for as little track time as I do, I'd rather get a little extra from my rotors..

Ive got a set of slotted and drilled brembo rotors I got for free, so next brake job after this one maybe I'll go with the HP+
