it is sexy, but being a buick, I fear it'll come with a landau roof, curb feelers, and bench seats.

It even has a little bit of Velite in the rear.

I'll take one! That's a good looking car. They might actually build it. GM is really trying to give Buick a new image, like they did with Cadillac. This would certainly help!

Looks ok, and 400 horses is nice enough, but being a Buick I bet it will weigh a f*** ton...err, two tons.

I'm not old but most of the Buicks I like are.

As for this thing, I'm not sure what I think. It looks very "conceptey" and not really remotely production-ready. Way too low-slung and wide for a production model, which means if it DOES get built, it'll be diluted, its waistline will go up and its sex appeal will go down.

The rear looks like a 4th gen Eclipse. That is not a good thing.

The rest of it is certainly graceful, but not particularly unique. It has a Ford grille and Audi headlights. The nose actually looks sort of Tesla-ish.

I do like that the lower front bumper is not a mess of black plastic and gaping scoops like every other car right now.

It has fender vents.
Why are fender vents still a thing?!
Yes, I know it's a Buick.
No, those aren't trademark classic three-hole vents! (Not that I actually like those any better on any modern model).

Basically:
It's not ugly at all. It's quite nice. But it doesn't do anything to get my blood pumping. It certainly doesn't make me think "Buick." Which I guess is a good thing, but if that's a good thing, well...that's not a good thing for Buick.

OH, and it'd probably be FWD anyway.

It's likely to be the lightest car in its class because, if produced, it would share the Alpha platform with the Cadillac ATS and new Camaro.

The first thing I thought of when I saw it was it would be a great competitor for the new Infiniti Q60 Coupe. It's a great looking car and I definitely commend them for pumping out a pleasing design that's on the Alpha platform. It's no Grand National successor, but it's definitely not a step in the wrong direction either. Let's hope it's slotted in between the Camaro and the ATS-V price wise. It might actually be a good seller for those who want something classier than a Camaro without breaking the bank.
