well as most of you know i'm an insurance agent and recently my car was vandalized and part of my vandalism claim was that they had broken my windshield along with my car getting keyed in a few places. i have to say that the windshield was the only part that extended my car's stay at the body shop as it was a dealer only item and no aftermarket companies make a replacement windshield. mind you my car has the LDW. so i had to wait on the dealer to locate a windshield with an un-tinted section for the LDW sensor. and jeez qship,.....i understand slapping someone upside the head for not having an adequate insurance policy, no need to tear the guy up though. i'm sure he probably thought that the "stealership" was over-pricing the windshield and thought he could get it cheaper somewhere else.as he probably found out though, it's mainly a dealer only item. max4speed you started the previous thread but never submitted any pics of the damaged windshield. how bad is it?
