and is driving the ten hours to nashville Tn from here really worth the trip? or are the roads bad enough that flying is better?

It's a 6.5 hour trip from Roanoke to Nashville, so tack on an extra 45 to an hour to get there from L-burg.

It's a boring trip, but it's not bad. I-40 in Tenessee isn't bad. The detour in Knoxville on I-640 is a bear because the road wasn't designed to handle the volume of traffic from I-40

If I abuse anything, it will be my own car at VIR. It's close enough that I'm driving. I'm considering doing Tarzan's lap battle, but haven't decided yet because I'm doing a track day the very next weekend in Las Vegas, and I want to preserve my tires.

You could get away with only taking 5 days, I'm just using the 6th for recovery from driving 5000 miles in under a week. But whatever, you probably wouldn't be allowed to be gone with me for a week anyway.

i'm sure there would be trouble in the hen house but no that's not it... I can't take days off of work. To take anything but sick days, you have to be there a year. I thought you'd be just going for the weekend. the only thing i could do is take off that friday (say i was sick) but anything more then one day you have to prove with a doc slip.
