okay so i'm on this other forum that i just registered to a couple months ago in order to gain access to their classifies section but you need to be a member for 60 days and have 100 posts before you can have access to their classifieds section.

With that being said, i've been a member for the alotted time but i only like 20 posts....posting stuff on a motorcycle forum where everyone is charlieo is ridiculously hard...plus they don't have that many members at one time on like nico...what should i post about?

That entirely depends on where your gears are engagive. Pinion height changes the point of contact as to whether you mesh lower or higher on the ring gear teeth. Shimming the differential itself changes the engagement point laterally.

And you don't just remove/add shims. You change shim thickness. There should never be a point where you have no shims on either the pinion or the differential.

but to adjust pinion height, you need to pull the differential out, remove the propeller flange from the input, knock the input shaft out, change the shim, then reinstall. I hate shimming differentials as it's a PITA and prussian blue will stain just about everything.
