I LEARNED'D something today!

I got my keyless entry unit working last night.

The brainbox on my audivox model was bad, so it wasn't locking the car like it should (was only pulling 4 volts when the circuit activated. It needed to pull a full 12v). I ended up getting an upgrade to a viper unit for an extra $25 (total of $75 so far). It was a much more complex unit since it has internal relays, so I had to call Broadfield up and have him explain how it freaking worked to me. Once he did, everything clicked in my head and it works flawlessly. I still need to wire in the horn, marker lights, and dome lights, but it was getting late and I was happy just to have the locks working. I'll probably take some time this evening while I'm doing laundrey at my parents' to wire the rest of it up.

I don't know if I want to wire up the horn though. It beeps the horn twice when it unlocks the doors, and that seems a bit excessive. I don't mind a beep when it locks, but I don't need for it to beep when it unlocks. I'll know if it didn't unlock when I can't open my door. The beep when I lock it is a confirmation that it worked.

Other than that, my evening was pretty drull. I watched TV and surfed the interwebs.

I had a good evening, last night, watched teh cubs win it with a grand salami! We got soriano back and hopefully edmonds and woody get back quick and we can get back on a roll with our offense and fight off the brew crew and the redbirds!

i didn't do jack poopy last night, recaulked my tenant's kitchen sink, made dinner and watched hbo until i fell asleep. i finally got that chick's number btw, i was pretty stoked about it last night, all that's left is to plan the perfect date.

I got back from lunch and I just don't feel like doing anything right now.

so i'm driving home for lunch, and as soon as i get on the highway, i see that there is a red kouki in the left lane a little ahead of me. i catch up to it to see and older man driving it. now you're all thinking, it's another 240, big deal. what struck me as odd was that the upholstery was not black, it was tan like this

it looked really good with the red, i was just unaware that that color upholstery was offered in 240s. maybe he had it all reskinned.
