Surprisingly easy on the iPhone as well, though Apple doesn't want you to know that.

I also have amazing horse.

Yeah, I love this OS. It's a REAL OS, not just some damn shortcut screen on top of basic firmware.

Oh, and Opera Mini 5 beta rocks.

Damn you guys with android. Making me all jealous. I wish another usable option existed when I locked in my iphone contract. I'm out in a few months and probably jumping ship to verizon. Just need to decide on the phone...

I wish most phones didn't. Phone cameras are generally piss poor.

I really love my nexus one and love the android although i'm not as much of a techie or nerd like mod but what's with these phone hacks and whatnot...i've seen people with the same phone well not my phone but other phones that have them completely hacked and they look way different...to the average person like me is their any benefits of doing those hacks?

But I see so much ridiculousness every day that I need to document it! Poorly and humorously spelled road and business signs, people wearing odd clothes/makeup, unbelievably hot chicks, rare cars, funny innuendos, friends drunk and passed out in odd places, aftermaths of parties, etc...

The people need to know.

Storm 2!

Lol...in all seriousness I actually love my BB. Mainly for BB stuff though...parts of me wish I had a "cool" phone, but other parts just love BB and how nice it is for work.

Ps - Adam, how's the 1100?

Yeah, I need more point and shoots. I probably will upgrade my current one soon, so I'll keep my old one in the car at all times for said occasions.

Simply amazing. I put a review in the around the house section.

So far it's only me in my car. So I can easily fit another. Let me know. As long as you're cool with leaving early enough on Friday to get to the Carlisle area around dinner and then coming home on Sunday.

Someone I work with has a CBR600 (pretty sure it's a 600). But I don't think he needs anything or wants any upgrades. And $80 to cali? That's insane. Ground?

What's up Dan?

There are programs that let you "skin" or add themes to your home screen. But some of the hacks let you run custom versions of android. Android's linux-based and "open", so anyone can develop a variant of it. Guys like me with earlier Android phones (I got a G1 cheap) are running 1.6 right now, but the Droid and a few others are running 2.0. I think Nexus One is 2.0. Most OEM android installs and over-the-air (OTA) upgrades are tuned for specific phones, but there are alternatives out there with different things to offer.

Does that actually void the warranty on the N1/Droid? Technically it does on my iphone, but I can always restore it and I wouldn't likely get caught.
Dattebayo wrote:WTF is rooting
Running as root (or having administrative access). Means you can basically do anything you want, like run unsigned code. IE, install programs the manufacturer doesn't approve of, etc.

for the nexus one if you try to root it a prompt comes up stating taking said action will void warranty and it records it in it's memory or something like that.

Haha, I just reread that and realized how poor an explanation that was. Since it is linux-based, the administrator is the root login. So it's not really referring to the root directory, though that is modified through the process. Unless I'm way off base, and MoD will correct me.
