So as not to crap all over the cheating thread, setup for dm_bounce awesomeness:
Start a HL1DM (HL2 lacks longjump module ) match in dm_bounce.
Host:Set sv_cheats to 1set sv_gravity in the 200-400 range
Both players:For simplicity, bind keys to give:item_longjumpweapon_crossbowitem_batteryitem_healthkitThis way if you die you can get right back into things.
Now, one person climbs the ladder on the cliff-wall to the top ledge, positions himself, and takes out the crossbow. The other person goes to one end or the other of the map (lengthwise) and low-grav longjumps the ENTIRE length of the map. See if the crossbow guy can nail him. Switch back and forth.
Also excellent is low-grav Matrix style crossbow melee combat with healthkit spamming invincibility.
Oh, and default HL1 gravity is 800. For HL2 the value changed to 600 for default.Negative numbers work for gravity and make stuff fall up as soon as it leaves the ground (it can be hilarious to bind sv_gravity -12000 to a key and whack it JUST as someone steps off a stair...as long as they're not under the delusion that they're in a cheat-free game).
