Yeah, this morning something cool happened. I was told that I am getting my unemployment benefits, even after my former employed neglected to give a lot of info about the reason that I was fired. I explained it to them and they granted my benefits this morning.Dattebayo wrote:SO whats up ya bunch of toolbags!

Nice! I too got unexpected joy in money form today. They paid me for one week out of my EUC a couple of hours ago.Bmore-coupe wrote:they granted my benefits this morning.
I find that hard to believe!Otto MCR wrote: I have never cried at a movie until this. It was fantastic.
I used to have this exact same opinion. But with the economy in shambles, I know a hell of a lot more people that got screwed somehow that now depend on it. Now, I get pissed that there are people leeching off the system who could very well ruin it for those who truly deserve it. There's a limit to how much the gov't can investigate. It'd be nice if people were just more honest.RobPaulson wrote:it just pisses me off how easily the govt pisses away money without having any idea who they're actually giving it to and for what
Your buddy is not doing all he is supposed to then. I looked over CTs unemp requirements, and they are similar to ours. Here, you have to submit a minimum of 2 resumes a week (and keep records), enroll in the state job program and re-apply every 26 weeks to the unemployment office.RobPaulson wrote:it just pisses me off how easily the govt pisses away money without having any idea who they're actually giving it to and for what)

Nah he lives in PA. Not CT. Although it is good to hear that some states take it more seriously.Dattebayo wrote:

The state interviews can be tough.
Similar in Indiana. Our HR department gets applications often from people that are looking to fulfill this requirement (many not actually looking for a job).Dattebayo wrote:Your buddy is not doing all he is supposed to then. Sorry, should've posted that. He deleted most of his posts now (on this and the other forums). Basic story was that he let a chick borrow his car, and she wrecked it (but apparently doesn't remember how?). He found out that her insurance would have to cover it, but she had none. So he reported the car stolen and when they didn't find any forced entry, he claimed he left the keys in the car. Here's the link. He used to have pics up until I eyed the plate number off of themDattebayo wrote:What D-bag? Link?
Yup. Seriously, I cannot support someone trying to scam insurance. But if you're going to try, at least be smart enough not to post the whole story all over the web. I swear I actually get dumber reading what some people post...snwbrdr435 wrote: That thread?
Seriously. Sometimes I think I'm communicating with some 12 year old girls on their phones. I don't mind any of the members in there, but sometimes it pains me trying to read their posts.King Ranzo wrote:God those Altima guys have terrible grammar.
