Hello,I gotta admit, those wheels look quite good. I think the dark tint ties it in nicely. How much different is the handling?Enjoy,M.L

They dont look as bad as I thought they would have. I would say that my main complaint is that they make the brakes look tiny...tiny...tiny...

I would say that a big brake setup is needed to run huge wheels like that.

Yeah, ive been thinking bout getting some different rims and tires. I would like to know how the car handles? Id imagine with the sporty suspension plus the bigger rims (smaller tires too?) it wouldnt be too great....

I had no idea those were 22's. I think I've seen you on the west side of town.

Sorry this is off topic, but I was wondering if you could answer this one question I have. I see that you are in Sarasota, and I read on another thread that you got ceramic tint done here in sarasota. Can you tell me where you got it down and what you think of it. Cheers

Pure hotness.

Who cares what the haters say, those are clean!

p.s. I'd paint those center caps black - Photoshop it and look at the difference it makes in the wheels....

Another guy with 22's and no brake upgrade *sigh* sad day enjoy wrecking your brake pads and rotors hoss. Unless you know what you are doing and doing it anyways which for me = Far greater Fail. Hit me up when you need new pads every few months, I can get you a discount if you buy in bulk

so are you saying that it might be a good idea to upgrade his rotors/pads

I agree. 22's will slow your braking and eat pads faster. Something to consider.

no im saying he needs big calipers, real rotors (slotted maybe even) dont cross drill its tard hatch material for DD. and real brake pads, not trash auto pads ^^

EDIT: you know other than your size selection I think the rims are super hot pajamas and agree with AZ that you should hit those center caps with some gloss black and it will make them look even better.

Calipers are fine, but larger diameter rotors would be nice.

At a BARE MINIMUM get some aggressive pads (I like the Ferodo compounds for hard street usage).

hello, thanks for all your comments, (even the bad ones) handling is the same the only difference i felt was that u can hear more road noise especially on bumpy roads, braking and acceleration is the same. i had 22" on my previous car before and i never had problems with brake pads or rotors. but now that you guys mention it probably would look better with bigger slotted rotors. my gas milage is better than wth the stock rims, maybe cuz i used to drive it like crazy

I know that I had a buddy who put 24's on the QX and there were no brakes avialable. He said the car took forever to stop sice with the larger wheels and the weight of the car the OEM brakes had no change.

The more weight and the larger the wheel the harder the brakes need to work.

really, cuz my friend owns a tire shop , and he said hes never heard of that, but like i said i had 22" on my monte for almost two yrs and only replaced da brakes once when i bought it. i may get bigger rotors after i install my system which i think is going to be very expensive and difficult

Hello,Welcome to NICO. I got my windows done on Tamiami Trail right past Suncoast Porsche-Audi. The location just closed, but, I believe the Washington Street (301) location is still open. Huper Optik, in a word, is amazing stuff. Truly the best money I have spent on anything aftermarket. Props again have to go out to Szhosain and AZHitman for the recommendation. The amount of heat rejection is amazing. Furthermore, because it is not metallic, there is no GPS/NAV interference, etc. A good bit more expensive than standard. The people here do it for around $325-350. This is about $150.00 cheaper than in other cities. I believe the proprietor name is Sam Rosen.Cheers,M.L

Cakedaddy and myself are in Burque.

Welcome to Nico. It's nice to see another New Mexican on the boards.

While I'm not a big fan of big rims, those actually look pretty good. You should throw an inch drop on that bad boy.

Is that a M35 or M45?

And by system I'm assuming ou meant sound system. I think Z was confusing your statement with a brake system.

si si senor. Mr. NMGood and I are both in ABQ, but we ride the previous version of the (M 03-04 model) which differs from yours. We hadn't made it to the big leagues like you. As for the audio conversion in that car, gonna be tough. I hadn't seen anyone pull that one off yet. Go to Paradise Village on San Mateo near Montgomery and ask for Ricky( he is the best installer in town) . He’ll tell you if it’s possible

Rare, Yes! I think that was the attraction for most of us here who own this car. Not to knock the new body style, but Im still stuck on this model. I stare at the newer M's every time I got to Albuquerque Tortilla just across from Garcia Inf There is a picture of mine on cardomain just in the link below with my wheels specs, so holla if you see me in the streets
