I'm confused as to what is included. It says at the top that it is an intercooler kit "with hot pipe and instructions included." What about the cold pipe? There are close ups of the welds on the cold pipe, which actually look pretty nice, but no close ups of the welds on the included hot pipe which - in the distance - look less ideal.

Not to mention the fact that if you are putting this on a KA-T, the hot pipe will be totally different for you....

Something seems off about it, I donno. You can take a risk with this if you like, but I would rather see people go with proven, reputable companies like we have for sponsors. Things may or may not work out with this ebay link... if you decide to go with a place like IAP, you can be assured 100% that it WILL work out. The choice is obvious to me...

EDIT: and damn Florida, goin on a posting rampage lately eh? zerouser?cmd=topposters

it could be adapted pretty easy to fit our ka-t motors...cut a pipe here and there...no one would notice the shortened pipes once you put the hose couplers together...i am actually thinking about experimenting with this kit...if you buy it make a post on the mods you had to do to make it fit your car.

lewis

EDIT : and once you cut the pipes make sure you take them to an exhaust shop and have them weld a small bead around the edge of the pipe to make a lip so the hose doesnt go flying off.

Well I just bought an intercooler from him, doesn't seem real bad, and the welds are solid, but it has a dent in the top before it reaches the cores, so it is primarily cosmetic, and he spray painted 'XS Power' on it, which I can take off, but I will see if he will give me moneys for the damage, and I will get over it. Just something to know. I will let you know what happens.

I can almost guarantee he won't do ****...that guy's a prick - just look at his responses to negative feedback others have given him - he behaves like a little kid, instead of a business man.

I'd NEVER buy anything from them that was a big part of my car, I purchased a few turbo flanges/gaskets from em, but that's it. My car came with their turbo manifold on it, and it doesn't fit right..so i got a dent knocked in part of my manifold so it would clear the steering rack.

Still on top.....think today or tomorrow is my last day though...So on every pipe I get from IAP I should go get a bead put around it?

im from kansas city ks....but i travel all over the metro area

as for the beads around every pipe from iap...YES i would have a bead put around all the edges so you have a lip there...otherwise your going to be blowing pipes off sooner or later and you dont want that....always happens at the most inconvient time...trust me on that one

as for any brand of hairspray...none really...just get a metal aerosol can version cause they have the continuous spray kinda like a wd-40 can will continously spray....if you get the " spritz " plastic bottle it will take for ever and the hairspray will kinda dry before you get it all covered...so douse it with the hairspray and put the pipe on fast and clamp it...always works for me!!!

hey florida, I seen the fmic in person, the quality really sucks where many of the fins stick out and might just poke your eyes out... that's how bad it is.

I'm no welding expert either but where the 2 thingy that's welded to the core isn't all that impressive either.

assuming you get it for 425 + 30 for shipping. That's still pretty close to a greddy one. I seen twice on zilvia that people are selling brand new greddy vspl for 600 + shipping and I know the used ones cost about low 500s

I'd rather have a greddy one over ssautocrhome any day

Yea I love how in the pics it is flawless but the one you get has been dropped by the ups guy and accidently run over.
