Darn fine looking car.... Suby makes some good stuff.

Although... my best friend just bought a 96 Legacy sedan with the little 2.2. He's owned it for two months and he's driven it a total of 5 or 6 days. I think he just got a bad car because it has been one problem after another. I have heard that the 2.2 is supposed to be one of Suby's more reliable engines (rumor has it the 2.5 has been a hunk of crap since its inception). He didn't pay much for it, but his good deal quickly turned sour since he's easily doubled his investment in repair bills.

Anyway... the new one looks sweet... Id drive it.

It is also suppose to get a better transmission. The Legacy GT will probably not have the problems that the STi has experienced because it is not tuned to make the same power. Still, it is a nice car. It is a nice car.

I dont think "for a four door" counts anymore. STI, EVO spec v(just cause I have one). Four doors are definatly not what they used to be. But you are talking about styling and I agree.

I like.

If I could afford it, I'd like a 99-00 Legacy wagon with the STi engine. For my wife, of course. :)

Wow... 250 horsepower out of a turbo, 2.5 liter engine. I wonder how many pounds of boost they had to crank it up to, in order to make those astonishing horsepower numbers. :rolleyes

The STi makes 300hp/300ft/lb on the same motor.

hahah suby is great. u know they raise the ground clearance and did some other stuff to the outback sedan/legacy to make it fall under light truck emissions classifaction. it let them run more boost, which is what customers want. <says suby> also, it gives the company better epa averages in the respective car and light truck class; less polluting car in car class, and the outbacks dont pollute nearly as much as other 'light trucks.'-Enzo

If I was looking for a family sedan, that's the one I'd buy. :)
