Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to remove the passenger side door panel on an '01 Qx4? I have to replace my side mirror for that door. Please let me know how many/where screws are located as well as clips; I would hate to break anything and give myself more of a headache. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

There is a screw in the handle that you use to open the door from the inside. The window button thing is clipped in so pull that out then pull out the arm rest and there are I think three screws once you get that then pull the door off from the bottom and pull it up and out.

You really need a panel popper otherwise the cheap bright ornage clips will tear out of the cardboard door panel backer.

1. Pry the window/door lock switch pack up off the door and disconnect. 2. Remove the screw behind the door handle. I can't remember how many there are and don't have my QX4 ATM but I think there are a few. 3. Use panel popper to pry the perimeter clips off. This is where you can damage the backer so make sure the clip is in the slot of the tool before you start prying.

Please correct if I've missed anything here.

i took some pics when i took apart my door to lube my window tracks cause they rolled down extremely slow, but these should help

this is from the drivers side door cause i didnt take pics of passenger, same thing on both sides.

Step 1:



Step 2 ( Be careful taking this off, i had to superglue on of mine back together :



Step 3: ( Pop this up between where im holding my finger, once it pops up a little grab it up front of the buttons where this peice ends and pull on it.



Step 4: Unplug those connectors



Step 5: there will be a screw in that little pocket in that arm peice then you pry it out or pull on it, then take out those green screws screws you see on there.



and then no you dont need a panel popper i never use one, just run along the edge of the door slowly with your fingers and pull around the clip when you come close to one and you wont break anything, key is not to do it fast.
