im in the process of selling my 240 but for a while ive been wondering about an R30 skyline. I know its a 1982 so its 25 years old and US legal as a classic, but would it still be a big deal to buy it ship it and go through all the works in some way. what would really help is if anyone has ANY sort of skyline in this area thats legalized and for sale. Any information even about R30-32 in this area would be helpful.

thanks Eric

As long as it is 25 years or older it will be much easier to get through customs.

You will still need to fill out an EPA and DOT paperwork saying it is exempt because of it's age. US Customs will put a stamp on both sets of paperwork and you're done.

Just make sure you find a clean and no rust R30 and you'll be very happy.

GOOD LUCK! Most R30s have a rust hole in the kick panel you can put your fist through.

Hey Mad, speaking of R30's. Did you know there was a 2 door version of the Paul Newmann model?

I saw one on the way back from Narita on Saturday. It was two tone black/grey.
