New (at least to me) 2006 M45 Sport owner, and so far I am in heaven! I have found a ton of useful information already over the past 2 days. I have but one question I haven't found a definitive answer to. I drive a *lot* of highway miles when I have to travel throughout the week, between 500 and 700 miles. What tire will provide a smoother and quieter ride without having to replace my sport 19" rims with 18" rims? I currently have the stock tires on, and they do not seem to be very quiet or smooth. I have never had low profile tires before, so I am not sure how to ensure that a particular tire will fit my M45 sport with the proper clearances. Tirerack shows a couple of choices such as the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum 245/40ZR19, or Goodyear Eagle RS-A. The Kumhos appear to be taller than the stock sport tires, but may just be an optical illusion.

I would appreciate any guidance on what tire you guys would recommend on the stock 19" sport rims, as well as any other improvements / accessories I could use based on the number of miles I drive.

Thanks!

Scott

Get the Michelins.

They cost more but believe me, it's worth the money.

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Might want to check out this thread too: zer...-ride.

Some kind of Grand Touring tire might work out for you. Just keep in mind that the Goodyear Eagle RS-A is a poor choice - if you do a search for that tire at NICO, you will see why!
