But I swear this one is different.

I just bought a Weber from a local junkyard, $100 a steal right. Been looking at the carbs on Weber direct and Waber of North America. All of the pictures show a choke plate over both barrels, well this one has only one choke plate over the primary barrel. I am guessing it is the primary barrel because when you operate the throttle hinge that is the only barrel the opens at the bottom. Now is this normal for the 32/36 DGEV model. I looked at the illistration breakdown on Weber of North America site and they show only one choke plate also. Any thoughts, and comment will be accepted. Post pics up later right now I am at work.

Yes its normal for the progressive Webber as the secondary is not necessary for starting.
