I was the only bidder, which surprised me. What do you think, be honest.

You definitely know more about the car than me, only know that link they posted on the auction. Do you have any other links or can you tell me more about it? Thanks!

This might help, the owner mostly posts over on FA, heres a link to all of his old posts: http://forums.freshalloy.com/u...posts

From what I know of it its a stock block SR that actually holds the current record for highest stock block hp (545), its run a best of around 10.5 quarter, seems to have nitrous in it now as well and has a T-56 6 speed transmission hooked up to it with an adapter plate...its pretty damn cool :)

Just talked with the previous owner (Shaun), the intake manifold is at the shop being welded, the 6-spd transmission he wants for another project, he has the Nissan transmission in there now. The Nissan was the one which he made the 10 sec run with.

I can't wait to get it so I can...take those damn stickers off!

Although im not trusting of ebay auctions, it seems like the car is fine. It doesnt look like its has an imcompetent previous owner. Tell us how it runs when you do get it though.

That car is bad. Good job. Seems like a good deal if you have the money. Have fun with it. Post pics without the stickers. Those stickers suck.

Sorry I hate that car, that only seconds in lameness to putting a small block V8 into an FC. I dont care if you change the name, putting anything but rotary in an RX7 makes you deserve a fat slap in the face with a wang.

Most ignorant statement of the night winner! Besides, some folks probably like being slapped in the face with a wang. Dont bash a guys new car man, thats just not cool ;) Also, I take offense to your small block comments, I love a good 383 :D

Thanks for the replies! Especially thank you, Nathan, for the links to Shaun's web board. Learned a lot today.

I hope to post some pics & impressions after I receive the car, which won't be for a couple of weeks.

Thanks again, and for those of you that don't like it due to the fact that the engine iron comes from another place than is usual, that's cool. I don't understand the rationale, but we all are entitled to our opinions. I just hope my opinion of the car is as good as I suspect!
