Oh my god. :ohno:

Glad to hear you were well enough after to walk away, although I suspect you will be feeling it for a while. Any story here that you can share?

No doubt! Right circumstances to be on the left side of the car.
As I've heard it said, "If it ain't your time, it ain't your time." Sorry for the material loss, but I am truly grateful you are here to tell the tale.

Very very VERY happy you're ok. Given all of that damage I'd be interested in the story behind this as well if you don't mind sharing.

Glad your safe and able to walk away. As asked before what happens. That's horrible.

I got in a bad accident with my 99 Maxima, all the airbags deployed and was able to drive away.

I’m very very lucky, and I don’t really remember what happened other than waking up in a ditch and opening the door when the paramedics arrived. I can assure you alcohol was NOT a factor!

According to witnesses I drove off the side of the highway into a “revine” and flipped several times before hitting a tree. I spent the night at the hospital for observation, other than that just a few bruises from seatbelt and airbag....

in other news, the CHP are baffled that I survived and the tow yard looked like they saw a ghost when I showed up to get some of my stuff from the trunk. They said that they’ve never seen a car in that condition w/o a fatality (thank God my Dog wasn't with me that day as he usually is and I just split with my girlfriend so that’s a good thing too) not to mention a car in that condition with such a straight frame. That’s cool I guess:

On a more serious note, holy hell that is so amazing that you alive and walking. You had an angel on your shoulder for sure.

Did they use the jaws of life on your car. Just showed my wife and she though the people died.in that car.

We're very happy your ok.

Ahhhw thanks for your (and your Wife's) consideration. Truly had someone looking over me that day. Also I think it's a testament to the safety of these cars. Appreciate it....

Oh, also no jaws of life. The driver side doors opened with no problem at all. Incredible... I just stepped out and was "escorted" (really on my own) up the hill to the EMT/ambulance.

I knew they built them safe but you took it to the max.

Have you thought of what your doing to get to replace it?

Not sure man. My ‘97 Grand Am still runs perfectly haha. Actually I was looking in the Bay this w/e and was thinking q70L. There are some pretty nice q50 at a reasonable price too, but I have never driven one of those. We shall see... anyone have some input?

I have a G37xS and the M56xS. The G is a more sporty feel, the M is bigger and more relaxed.

I sat in a Q50S awd it is way more comfortable in the seats and they look great. Hell so do the Q70's. Personal preferences for sure. All great cars.

Good luck.

Matter of opinon for sure. My M56S to me feels sportier than my Moms G and the Q60 loaner I had for nearly 2 weeks when my timing chains were being changed. I have had plenty of seat time in both. The M is a heavier car for sure but it can handle corners at higher speeds and feels all around more stable than the G and then add in the extra 200 lbs/ft of torque the VK56 makes over the VQ and the M56 is a rocket.

Wow, what a testimony for these fine cars and so glad you were a survivor!

I wrecked a car when I was 22 yrs (pre airbags but not jaws of life1) and when my Dad and brother went to the yard to get the personal belongings they would not tell the shape of the car... just hugged me :)

Damn! You're a lucky man. Good on ya! I also showed these pix to my wife, and she got concerned about the condition of the passenger side, where she usually sits. It looks much flatter (?) than the driver's side.

DFW,

Don't misunderstand me, the 56 is way more powerful and will chew up the G37. That said I think the 37 has more nimble handling characteristics than my 56. That's why I purchased the coilovers to give the M that sport feel. My G was/is wayyyyy firm and the seats were as well.

Both great cars that's why I have both. When I sat in the Q50S awd the seats were more like the 56 than the 37.

I didn't drive one though. Maybe on the weekend.

Thats the side that I rolled in to the tree. Given the speed and the terrain, I guess I can't see anything holding up to that kind of impact. I splintered that tree pretty good.
