Hello, I just won some 450cc injectors off eBay and I was wondering if there is anyting needed to make them work with a KA fuel rail? They are first gen DSM injectors off of a GSX eclipse. They are side feed and I was told that they would work, but after looking at the pics of them closer, they just don't look they will fit. I haven't recieved them yet, but when I do I would lke to install them so if there is anything I will need to get or change I would like to know before I try to install them and break them. Thanks

If you have a ka24de then you will need a top feed fuel rail for those injectors. the project silvia one they sell on ebay will be perfect for those. i think it goes for 50 bucks. for ka24e i think it will fit in the stock fuel rail but i dont have a sohc so im not sure.

I need a top feed fuel rail for these, eventhough they are a side feed injector?

lol I read the post wrong hten, if they are side feed you dont need a new fuel rail they'll probably drop in the stock one. but Ive never seen dsm 450cc side feed injectors?

those injectors are top feed. Actually, I believe all DSM injectors regardless of model are top feed. You need a topfeed fuel rail, and dsm injectors are also low impedance.

so I should not run these?I dont really want to have to get a fuel rail, if they were worth keeping I would, but if it is gonna be a hassle I will have to get something else.

dsm injectors are top feed. You need a top feed fuel rail. projectsilvia's rail will work. I have one and it lookes great. If you run it just get a adjustable fpr. To hard to install your factory one on the top feed rail. Also you need a resistor box or some resistors. dsm injectors are low impedance where as your ka injectors are high impedance. You just wire them in on the power wire for each injector. These can be found in junkyards in hondas and eclipses. Or you can spend 20 bucks and get a set from jgs tools.

http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html

gto there and scroll down to the gold resistors. Just solder one one the power wire of each injector and your set.

Also try checking the big sticky on the top of the ka-t section labeled "IMPORTANT INFO READ FIRST" and it has a injector spread sheet there.

Later man!

what adjustable FPR do you have? Also, do you have any pics of your set up? Do you know of any other way to put the resistors on with out having to solder anything?
