I was able to do it in about 6 hours of work time with the motor still in the car. I did have to remove the turbo because my turbo compressor housing hits the side frame rail of the car if the motor is tilted back. The job wasn't bad at all. Getting the transmission back in was the hardest part. I just used the stock Pressure plate and put a 6 puck ACT disk in. It hasn't sliped for me yet like the stock one would. It's not too bad to drive either. The clutch bits hard but the pedal is soft and easy to control.

No kidding... the clamping force is all in the pressure plate, you're not really utilizing that disk much.

Putting a 4 or 6 puck clutch in with a stock pressure plate is a DSM trick to get a clutch that holds power but is cheap and easy to drive. If my car was a race car I would have stuck a heavy duty pressure plate in. I still have it incase this setup starts to slip but I want to see how this holds up.

**** if i was gonna go through all the work of pulling the trans, just spend a couple hundred bucks and get a clutch you never have to worry about.
