I just love my KA so much that I will take the intake manifold off for the 5th time to fix a coolant leak. It seems like every time I fix a coolant leak.. another one emerges.. I think i'm going to stock up on hose clamps and double clamp every @Q@%$Q!@#%! coolant hose on the engine.... 1st leak, 2nd leak,3rd leak - tiny hole in hose... small crack in block (fixed), a short hose that i blocked off... 3rd and 4th leak... water neck and another hose that wasn't tightened down good (or the hose clamp loosened itself...??)umm... 5th leak... one of those hoses underneath the intake manifold.. GOD WILL IT END ALREADY? you must be asking yourself "is this person an idiot?" no.. i'm not... i am having bad bad luck....I just thought i'd rant a little... I have been fixing coolant leaks for the past 3 weeks... first i got mad... then all the other times i just got really frustrated and now... i'm laughing... i'm going insane... it's hillarious... another leak... but she runs and idles very strong and i'm so happy for that... so...if any of you who read this have to do some cooling repairs and have to take the mani off.... double clamp those m-f'in hoses 2 times and double extra triple check for holes or anything.. I don't want anyone else to go through what I am going through...

LOL good luck with that. Just be glad you're replacing hoses and clamps instead of engines. This weekend's install will make 4 in a little less than 1 year. Dammit why do I love that car enough to let it put me through all this, hehehe. I feel your pain, believe me

Yeah, I've lost count of how many times I've done something once, done it over again because I half assed it, then had to do it a third time to finally get it right.

Sometimes I REALLY hate my car...like when it left me with no transmission on a cold winter night, and when it sat on the side of the road steaming on the hottest day of last summer. Also can't forget about when the plug wire popped off the distributor and it backfired and stumbled like it was dying...all the kids in my girlfriend's neighborhood got a kick out of that one though.

But for some reason I wouldn't give it up. It already has a spot in the garage reserved for it when I find something to replace it.

Cool, it's nice to know that other people sometimes get just as frustrated as me.Yeah, I have wanted to drive it off a cliff many times. I have wanted to give up on it so bad, but I haven't...so today, after I get dressed.. i'm going to the parts store to get a new intake mani gasket and buy a bunch of hose clamps... then head over to the garage and get to crackin on it... yeah.. the reason why i'm in this spot in the first place is because I did something half-***... see.. my motor went because the head gasket blew... it was caused from a leaky water pump and me not keeping my eye on the temp gauge (i'm used to a defi gauge that sounds an alarm when it nears a "warning" temperature) I installed a new water pump but there was one screw that, I guess, bottomed out and stripped a little or crossthreaded... it would tighten up decently then it would just loosen..well I tightened it up till right before it broke loose again and left it... so there I did it half-*** and I paid for it... haha.
