Car: Nissan Versa SL Sedan

Post

This past sunday me and my parents went to the Nissan Dealership to buy a car, I'm not sure what they were looking for at first, probably an old used Sentra. I've never seen a Nissan Versa Sedan before the day we got it, and I thought it looked nice at the dealership, but then (after we bought it) all the reviews on the car say the car is kind of "geeky" looking and plain and not exciting to look at, which kind of made me a little upset. However, now that I think about it I really just wanted a humble looking car. This car can look really cool from one angle, but then kind of dull from another.

Oh well though, I can't complain because this car is definately better than most people's first car. Although I just got my driver's license, I haven't taken this car out for a drive yet, I think I will drive it today though.

So in other words...You liked the car until you read what some other people think of it. Look, you're a young guy who just had his parents buy him a really nice, BRAND NEW car for his very first. I'd quit worrying what anyone else thinks, thank God for your parents, and start enjoying that new Versa!

Haha, yeah I just had to read an online review to see if there are any problems I didn't notice before. I'm extremely thankful that I got a brand new car (I would have settled for an old, very used car). At the same time though, I'm worried that something might happen to the car. Since it's in pristine condition I don't want to do anything to ruin that. And by the way... this isn't just my car I'll be using it whenever they aren't.

I'll disregard all other people's opinions on the car now...

Just disregard the bad opinions. Cuz they're wrong.

My first car was a Probe GT... the turbo boost would kick in randomly... so I hydroplaned around a corner and got to choose between a fence or a 6 foot drop... guess which I chose?

The Versa may be a better idea...

Dang... so far everyone but me has driven it. Even though I have my license they won't let me drive by myself yet. Oh well, I'm sure that'll change soon.

Man i would have loved to have my V as a first car. Its fun to drive, at least the MT is, and cheap to mod so far. I bought everything that Versaspeed.com had for the V back in may and still spent less than 850 in total. Not to mention that I am really stoked that the alternator cranks out at 185 so I won't need to get a High output alternator to run the stereo equipment.

Shucks, they still won't let me drive it. I'm not sure why they bought the car anymore if they won't let me. They keep saying I'm incompetant (My mom said it was pure luck that I got my license), and they told me I'll get to drive once school starts. Being on summer vacation and not being able to drive myself is pretty lame. Once school starts driving will just be a routine thing and I won't really get to have fun doing it.

Ya man if I were you id go with my parents and drive with them a couple of times and then im sure they'll let u drive the V alone, just got to earn trust thats all, its not every day a kid gets a 15K+ car, so just be a little patient.

Trust is right you need to show how responsible you are and your appreciation for getting a new ride, your one lucky kid and have smart parents that got you into a solid car.. Oh yeah any car can be a hot car it just takes imagination and the drive to make it happen...
