I just got a GoPro Hero5 camera... Video links inside!

So at Carlisle NICOfest, Torry (ezcheese15) had something called a "GoPro" Camera... Interesting little bugger, its a tiny videocamera in a waterproof case (up to 100 ft) and I was amazed...

He hadnt used it before, and as a result we have no video from carlisle lol..

I just got a job last week and I had told myself I would buy this when I got a job, so I bought it! I got it on ebay for $140 delivered (using a coupon)

And now, I present to you, the GoPro Hero5 Wideview Motorsports Camera!

The motorsports edition comes with all the stuff you need and more, the suction cup is SUPER STRONG and holds TIGHT!

In the first video, I stuck my hand out the sunroof and was able to turn it off lol

The sound recording was on "low" on these, I will try some on "high" soon and post the results, I am wondering if there is a place I can mount it where I will get less noise from the turbulent air flow... I am going to give it a few test runs... One mounted in the lower grill in the front, then one on the rear bumper (the area right below the plate) and then some in-cabin runs.

When it was on the side of the car people didnt notice it, when it was on the top, I got some weird looks from people though lol!

I'm not sure how high the camera was sitting on top of the car but if you keep it close to the body it should pick up less noise, but then again I'm not sure how close it was to begin with.

btw, the second vid. I thought you took off going in reverse, then realized the camera was faced backwards

Yeah tomorrow i am going to see if I have time to do some experimentation with it, picking some good spots to mount it and try to get it as close to the car as possible.

cool vids LBC, These cameras are TOUGH! A couple of my R/C friends put them on their trucks. They will take a ton of abuse. i.e. rollovers, back flips, crashes. On r/c trucks of course, but sill tough.

There is a 10% off coupon in most ebay accts (check your emails) for something in "sporting goods" this guy had it listed in sporting goods so it qualified..

The one you posted doesnt have the suction cups etc you need for the car.
