A customer of ours wanted to throw the car out after a piston came through the block. Other than that the car is in good shape. I am thinking about parting it out big time. It has all the goodies and I would stand to make some money. Something in the back of my head says put a new block in it though. Wish I could make up my mind.

Anyways my shop had the car towed to the customers house after having it sit for 6 months on the lot. The customer had it towed back to the shop and said they never want to see the car again. We got it on a mechanics lein of 79 dollars. Time went by and eventually my service manager says if you want it you have to have it off the lot by thursday night. I'm like "no problem!" so he hands me the key. So tomorrow night I will have a fully loaded altima to grab parts from sitting in my garage. Pretty neat huh?

yeh, it's a KA24DE. I dont have any money though. PLus the title is messed up right now, it's lost, so even if I get it running I won't be able to register it or insure it do to my money situation. I really need the money and could sell parts off of it to make ends meet.

Wow there is so much more to that mod than that. I know one person who did the mod and it ended up costing him around 4-5 thousand. Lots of extensive frame is needed as well as another transmission.

really? My G20 was going to be a pretty much drop in deal , guess im spoiled....

didnt think the KA monted up that much diffrently , i could understand the transmission tho , but snatch one out of a g20t and youd be set there , bout 900 for a det long block 1200 for the turbo stuff probably another 500 for ecu stuff (running a gtir ecu setup from jgycustoms) ..yah itd be kinda expensive , its a free car tho thatd be worth about the same ammount to make it into a bluebird , thats the angle im looking at

yeh the G20 is an easy swap, the KA is a strange beast, it doesnt cross reference with anything.

That Altima wouldn't happen to have the OEM five spoke alloy wheels that were standard on that model would it? Would you be intersted in selling them? I have been lookng for a complete set of those in fairly good condition at a good price.

I am lazy, I haven't open a thread in BST yet. I will though, I am just too busy tearing the car apart right now.
