.....and it was freakin awesome!

well, not really

but I did just drive it on the new Need for Speed Pro Street game and let me tell ya....holy crap that game is awesome. I just downloaded the demo on PS3 and one of the demo cars was the new GT-R! That thing looks soooo freakin good and sounds BADA$$!!! I had it on manual and the thing is even still true to the actual car with the auto shift. It shifts fast and the BOV gives me a...well you know j/k. :P Holy crap, I'm totally about to go out and buy this game.

here's some screenshots of it http://media.ps3.ign.com/media....html

I swear..it's the next best thing to feeling like this guy! hahahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGe_fyhQazg

Those screenshots look amazing! I wonder if they have the demo for this on Xbox Live... gonna have to check it out. I haven't ever really been into car racing games (FPS = my forte) but who knows what this will bring.

I can't bring myself to watch a full video of a guy driving. Perhaps I should go do it myself?

Also, sorry to get off-topic, but are you at the Guard base right outside of Tulsa? We just took an aircraft tire there last week. How odd, heh.

Yup, that's where I'm at! 138th fighter Squadron. I'm actually in a tenant/GSU in cause u know your air force acronyms :P unit on the same base. How's TN treatin you....I haven't been to that base yet.

....but ya, the game is freaking awesome! I actually not much of a gamer either...at least not these days (more into mmo's than console actually), but I had to try that game and I love it! I know they have if for 360, but not sure about the demo. but you should check it out

Geographically Separated Unit? I don't know anything about them other than I have heard the words used before. Good to know there's some fellow guardsmen around here, though. Thought I was gonna be a loner!

From what I hear, TN is doing better than Tulsa - hit hard by ice storms and thousands without power for weeks. How horrible!

The demo is downloading right now Thankfully it was free - I ran out of M$ points getting the new Halo 3 maps haha.

Nice car, btw.

The game is really fun (for about the first 2-3hours) then it starts to get really repeditive. Its more of a rent than a buy. Halo maps FTW

I just found that out, lol. Played the demo on Grip and Speed modes and wasn't thrilled at all. The GT-R was sweet and so were the game graphics, but I didn't like the car damage.

One of the best NFS games was Underground because there was no car damage in it. You could drive as crazy as you wanted to and been happy with how it handled the whole time, who cares if you hit a few walls head on and flip your civic 6 times? Race it off! Haha. I'll stick to Halo!

Yup^^ you're right!

And yes, Tulsa has sucked the past few weeks I personally didn't get it too bad. I had a few big branches come down from my trees and power was down for roughly 16hours (the least I've heard from anyone so far) But on average....most were out of power for 3-10 days....DOH. It was crazy to stand outside the day during the ice storm, and couple of days after with all the ice everywhere. It literally sounded like you were in the forest and could hear lumberjacks in the distance cutting down trees. Every few minutes you'd hear a CRAACCKKKK then a falling sound and a loud Thud. Many people lost lost of trees and many others had big ones fall on their cars or houses. A few people even had trees fall on em while they were in the car and like 2 people died I think....it was definitely very crazy!

As far as the game goes...just like any other racing game, it does somewhat get repetitive, but I still like it. It's no grand turismo, but it's close to it. I give it two thumbs up!
