any tips for me, are they as bad in the rain as i have heard or is that a myth

Rain performance all depends on tire choice. If you have some good all weather tires, you'll be fine.

I drive mine in the rain all the time. I'll agree with Ace said and say that it's all about having good tires.

I run Bridgestone Pole Position RE960AS tires in the colder months and General Exclaims in the warmer months and have zero problems in the rain, or even light (less than 2") of snow.
