From BC Racing. After 206,000mi, my factory struts are done. Actually, I'm pretty sure they were done 50,000 miles ago, but I just bought the car. Plans are to lower it about an inch or so. Can anybody chime in on how the ride will be? I guess really anything will be better than how it currently rides, I can push down on the hood and the car bounces like 7 or 8 times, haha.

It'll be not much different than stock in the softest setting...that's how I had mine set.

Oh right on. Good to hear, as any bump now feels like the car is going to fall apart.

Yeah, I only lower my cars for looks. Any handling benefit that comes with it is a bonus. Because of that, I always look for the most OEM like ride and BC's at their softest settings were either identical or damn close...with an added bonus of better handling.

Wish someone made nice cheap strut bars for these cars...but alas no one does, not even the older M.

I was just going to do factory replacements, but my cost, even as an Infiniti employee, was over $600 for the 2 front struts alone. I figured I'd spend the extra money for adjustability. Nobody makes aftermarket struts, other than coilovers, for us AWD guys which was kind of a bummer. I didn't really want to spend $1000, as it's just my winter/DD while my Lexus is tucked away in the garage for the winter.

That's exactly why I went coilovers as well. When I was looking at suspension refresh, even with me having my own lift and tools to do the work myself, parts alone were going to cost me like $800. I decided to just spend $150 more and get BC's.

That's the exact same predicament I'm in. Plus, an assembled coilover that's just bolt in is much less time consuming than me having to replace the struts. Seemed like a no brainier.
